ABOUT HC
Hello and welcome to the Metro HC section of CyberAntics.net. The word CyberAntics is actually taken from a comic book by Dark Horse Comics. The story involved a robotic ant and his escapades through the world. I liked this character so much that I registered the domain and started my site. Just in case you're wondering about the Metro HC part here is the explanation for that. I lived in Paradise, CA for a good ten years of my life between the ages of 10 and 20. When I moved back to San Jose, CA I felt like my life had taken a serious turn and I felt that it had become more modern and metropolean like. So Metro HC means Metro Me.
Ok, more about me. :)
I live in the San Francisco bay area and work as a software engineer at a sucessful computer company. I have a fair amount of friends and enjoy a myriad of activities on a daily basis. Some of my interests include: DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), Roller Blading, Bowling, Video Games, Computers, Art, Poetry, Photography, and more.
I like writing software too as it is usually very relaxing. Being a software engineer I am familiar with several programming languages which include: PERL, PHP, Cocoa (Objective-C), JavaScript, HTML, DHTML. Of course all of the components on my website were written by me, thus why it is so featureless. I have very little time in my day to day activites to work on my website, also I never know how many real people are actually visiting this thing so I procrastinate at times.
I also designed all the elements and styles used on my site. I've been an artistic sould for quite some time and enjoy drawing and creating in PhotoShop. Most of the "art" I create is functional (ie. Creating websites or interactive web apps) but I still find ways to make it beautiful and pleasing to people. I've been trying to branch out into new forms of art though such as music and painting or construction and engineering. Any form of creation is very liberating.
You can see by some of my photos posted here and infer by some of my writing that I am a bit of a goth, I like dark disturbing things and wear mostly dark clothing, but Im not as much of a meloncolly person as I used to be or that I find some goths tend towards. Aside from some of the darker poetry I have created over the years I am really a happy and engergetic person. I like going out to coffee and having a latte, I like just hangin out and watching movies, and I have a great sense of humor that I try to share with everyone I meet.
